[#94] How do I migrate an existing CVS project to Forge?
- Make a final commit to your existing repository
- Create a Forge account
- Request a project in Forge
- Wait for the project to be approved
- Each developer or project member will need to create a Forge account, otherwise only the initial project requestor can make changes
- The Project Admin adds members and assigns rights to the project under the Admin tab for that project
- Please compress and archive your existing CVS repo
- Contact a Forge admin (see How can I get help?) to arrange to have the archive extracted to the new project repository
- The migrated CVS repo will include your existing commit metadata. To maintain the existing record trail, its a good idea to create a Forge account with the same username you used under your old CVS solution.
